Medium: OneShot enamel and urethane on birch panel
The powerful Poppy. In this painting, I’ve created a tessalation of the poppy flower and the unique seed pod that grows alongside it. They have a structure and geometry that shouts at me from the garden to pay attention to it.
This is the flower that gained fame in '“The Wizard of Oz,” for being beautiful enough to charm the winged money and potent enough to make the lion fall asleep.
This painting is part of a series of paintings that focus on the geometric reorganization of plant and animal characteristics into patterns.
